How Does Seed Propagation Work?

On Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sandra Fausch (Ackerschaft Association) and Eva Körbitz (Hortus Association) will demonstrate at the Vadozner Huus how seed propagation works—in a hands-on way using various vegetable varieties.

You’ll learn how to collect and propagate seeds yourself and why variety, biodiversity, and natural cycles are so important.

You’ll also get ideas on how to introduce children to nature, sustainability, and nutrition in a hands-on way.

  • Want to start your own seed cycle?

  • Where: Vadozner Huus

  • Cost: CHF 20 for Hortus members and AckerLehrpersonen from the GemüseAckerdemie/AckerRacker, CHF 30 for all other interested participants
