The aha Executive Board is becoming significantly more female

Change is in the air at the “aha – Jugendinformation Liechtenstein” association. At the 28th General Assembly, which took place recently, the team not only presented a strong annual report. The Executive Board is also undergoing a reshuffle and is becoming significantly more female.

Before the agenda was worked through, the focus was on practical matters. Members used the opening session to exchange ideas in small groups for the new ‘projekt MACHEREI’ – a format in which young people aged between 12 and 20 from Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein present their projects to one another and receive recognition. The input will be incorporated directly into the implementation.

Finding your way through the digital jungle

A look at the association’s 2025 year shows that the work of “aha” is in greater demand. In an age of artificial intelligence and digital sensory overload, young people are looking for reliable points of reference. The team provides them. With 150 activities, the specialist unit reached over 3,300 people directly. The website recorded more than 112,000 visits.

New impetus on the board

The most emotional moment of the evening was the farewell to two long-standing pillars of the organisation. Vice-President Monika Paterno is leaving the board after 20 years of dedicated service. Thomas Graf is also stepping down after more than seven years on the board.

The change brings new faces and a strong female presence. Whilst Hansjörg Frick was re-elected as President, Petra Miescher takes on the role of Vice-President. Maya Mathias-Seger and Flurina Seger were also newly elected to the board. Simon Kresser and Brian Haas, who remain on the board, ensure the necessary continuity within the executive committee.

Finally, the spotlight turned to those who shape the operational work of the specialist unit. Co-Director Johannes Rinderer was honoured for his 10th anniversary of service. As a token of appreciation, the President presented him with a lavender plant – a symbol of appreciation, calm and serenity. A big thank you also went to Co-Director Virginie Meusburger-Cavassino, who celebrated her impressive 25th anniversary last year.
