Children, young people and families

UNICEF Schweiz und Liechtenstein

UNICEF is the UN Children's Fund. Since 1943, when we were founded by the United Nations, we have been working for the survival and well-being of children.

Our focus is on Development cooperation and emergency aid. UNICEF is committed to ensuring that children survive and have a healthy childhood.

Our central tasks include health, nutrition, education, water and hygiene. We also protect children from abuse, exploitation, violence and HIV/Aids. UNICEF is financed exclusively by voluntary contributions.

Whoever she is.
Wherever he lives.
Every child deserves a childhood.
A future. A fair chance.
That's why UNICEF exists.
For every child.
24 hours a day.
In 190 countries and territories.
We reach those
who are the hardest to reach,
who live the furthest away from help,
who are the most excluded.
That's why we stay until the end.
And never give up.
We move worlds.
For every child.
