Stiftung TIEFSINN

According to the WHO report, mental illnesses are on the rise and will be the most common cause of illness and death before 2030.

Currently, one in five people will suffer from an affective disorder requiring treatment in the course of their lives. The TIEFSINN Foundation is the result of an initiative by the Clinicum Alpinum and addresses the need to secure and further develop basic and specialist psychiatric care for all, while also lending a hand to the often forgotten family caregivers.

The 'shame paradox' often leaves them and the patients in the dark field of society, without a voice. The TIEFSINN Foundation is therefore actively involved in the medical and socio-political dialog at various levels and raises the voice for people with mental impairments and also provides financial support for indicated therapy stays. The necessary 'psychoeducation' takes place in the form of lectures, further training, specialist contributions and research projects, which should further contribute to the destigmatization and inclusion of mentally ill people.

As an urgent goal, the foundation is also campaigning for an outpatient clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of affective disorders with low-threshold and age-independent access.
